High-quality event production and a transformed venue helped The Ronald McDonald House Charities raise 200% of their original fundraising goal at this annual event.
The Background
The Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit organization with over 136,000 volunteers. They support over 1.4 million families around the globe by providing free housing, meals, and toiletries while their children are undergoing major health issues in a hospital. This non-profit relies on a regional fundraising event in order to support the families.
The Challenge
This year’s event took place in a venue typically common for weddings. Presenting in a blank canvas-style room like this would lead to nothing but an echo of the vision RMHC had in mind. For an event called “Red Shoe Soiree”, a completely white room was not going to work. They needed a production company that could brand this space and supports their presenters by using staging, lighting, and high-quality audio.
The Solution
Our team of professionals transformed the space using red-branded lighting and accessories. The main stage helped give a focal point to the originally bare room. It also housed 2 large screens with projectors to give information to the audience. Our audio tech strategically placed speakers all around the room, and actively tweaked the sound as the presentation was taking place. No echo, no feedback, just a clean-sounding presentation.
The Results
All of these details came together to give those 300+ families a night to remember. RMHC exceeded its fundraising goal in just a couple of hours thanks to this high-quality event.
