Bentonville First Friday events are the epicenter of community for this special place in Northwest Arkansas. With thousands of NWA locals descending on the square, these Friday evenings are the place to see and be seen.
One obstacle that has plagued event planners for years is quality sound. Their main stage hosts multiple bands to bring a live music component to the event. Leadership relies on the sound system to make announcements, and these announcements need to be heard by thousands of people. The area is every corner of the downtown square, extending out to the adjacent street corridors. With all the trees, food trucks, and crowd noise, that’s caused a limiting challenge for the longest time.
What their event needed was a quality line array sound system, and one of our competent audio technicians. In our very first month, they noticed a huge difference.
avad3 now provides the staging and the sound system, every month, for these iconic outdoor events. We helped coordinate with the client to get their sponsors adequate banner visibility hanging from our lighting truss. Each month, one of our Production Managers helps the client coordinate with all the bands to make sure their needs are met. We’re the first-in, and the last-out, setting up early in the morning and staying late, coordinating our timing with the appropriate street closures for an event of this size.
We love supporting live music. It’s thanks to organizations like CitySessions and Downtown Bentonville Inc. that events like this happen throughout our regional community, and it is a pleasure to get to serve outdoors alongside these men and women who are making a difference in the lives of our residents.
